Membership at Kidderminster Golf Club

Please contact The Office at  info@thekidderminstergolfclub.com or on  01562 822303 to learn more about our very attractive membership options.

Full, 7-day membership at a private golf club for just over £1k? How is that possible?

Here at Kidderminster we are in the enviable position of owning all our land and buildings outright, one of the very few clubs in the region to do so. This means, among other things, that we do not have to pay large sums of money in annual ground rents or other amounts to a landlord.

Further, in recent years we have invested in streamlining our business management structure and processes. Consequently our running costs are under tight control and we are now able to pass on those savings in the form of an extremely attractive annual subscription for unrestricted membership.

Note also that at present there is no joining fee.

It is recognised however that, even at this price, full membership does not suit everyone and so we also offer a range of restricted membership categories at different price points including Silver, Bronze and 5-day.

KGC has always been keen to support junior golf development and part of that commitment is the sliding scale of subscriptions we apply to members up to the age of 35.

Please don’t hesitate to contact the office for details on all our membership options.

Credit Facilities

Credit facilities that spread your subscription evenly over twelve months are available with Fairway Credit - please contact the office for further details.

Members first...

Kidderminster is a private golf club which is wholly owned and run by its members, for its members. This means that the entire membership has both a personal stake and an active say in how the club is run, and that is an approach that can only be facilitated by a club like ours. Everyone has a voice and everyone is entitled to all the benefits that their membership brings.

Whilst we welcome visitors and societies all year round, we are very careful to maintain the added-value that membership brings by ensuring that certain times are always reserved exclusively for member's play.

The KGC membership package also includes:

No joining fees for any categories of membership

Partners and spouses of all full members automatically qualify for free social membership (please contact office for details)

Free room hire of our available spaces for all categories of member for private functions (subject to availability)

Free playing membership for children and grand-children of playing members, up to the age of 14 years and subject to enrolment in the Pat Smith Golf Academy

Club membership offers real advantages to regular golfers

Being a member of an established golf club like Kidderminster offers many benefits to the keen player.

As well as preferential access to a quality golf course (which in addition to the advantages outlined above, is usually much more cost-effective than pay-and-play for regular golfers), it provides:

  • A home club at which your handicap may be held

  • Your own PGA professional staff to support and advise you on your game and equipment

  • Excellent practice facilities

  • A state-of-the-art indoor swing room with golf simulator (available at reduced rates to members)

  • The chance to play and mix with people who share your interest in the game

  • An active and varied social scene

  • The opportunity to play for your club both home and away in team matches - our club teams include men's scratch, 'A', 'B' and seniors sides, ladies, ladies scratch, mixed and of course juniors, plus we enter teams in county events such as the Boulton Salver, Droitwich Shield, County Championships and others.

  • Competitive golf - being a member provides lots of opportunities to compete in a wide variety of club competitions including stableford, matchplay, medal, greensomes, foursomes, better-ball, yellow-ball, flag and bogey competitons...you name it, we play it!

The ladies and juniors both have extensive competitive schedules, there are regular mixed matches (both internal and inter-club), and there is competitive golf available for everyone all year round. For the gentlemen there is a monthly medal, a monthly stableford and two midweek competitions every month of the year, in addition to the many trophy events (for which winners have their names immortalised on our honours boards).

We also realise that not everyone wants to play in formal competitions. Some of our members choose not to maintain handicaps, and to simply enjoy social golf with friends - and that's just fine too.

Membership is currently available in some categories and we welcome applications from all standards of golfer. If you are considering becoming a member then you are most welcome to play the course to assist your decision, and your first green fee will be deducted from your initial subscription.
